3. How We Collect Personal Data
We receive data directly when you contact us, complete a form, request a quotation, book a vehicle, provide documents or sign a rental agreement.
Where lawful and relevant to your booking, we may also receive information from an authorised driver, a company arranging the booking, a travel agency, a payment provider, an insurer or an operational partner.
4. Why We Use Personal Data
We process personal information for specified and legitimate purposes, including:
- Responding to requests, preparing quotations and confirming reservations.

5. Information Needed for a Reservation
Some information is necessary to process a reservation and verify whether a driver may legally operate the selected vehicle. If you do not provide mandatory information, we may be unable to confirm or perform the requested rental.
We endeavour to distinguish required information from optional information when collecting it and to limit collection to what is necessary for the stated purpose.
6. Identity Documents and Driving Licences
For self-drive rentals, we may need to review identity documents and driving licences and, where necessary and lawful, retain relevant copies or details. The purpose is to identify the renter, assess driving eligibility, establish the rental agreement and handle related obligations or claims.
Access to these records is limited according to operational need and the safeguards applicable to the processing. We do not use identity document copies for unrelated advertising.
7. Legal Conditions and CNDP Formalities
We process personal data in accordance with Moroccan Law No. 09-08 and other applicable provisions. Depending on the processing, the legal conditions may include a valid consent or another condition permitted by that law.
The reference above must correspond to the specific processing activities described in this Policy. Separate requirements may apply to other treatments or international transfers.
8. Who May Receive Your Data
Where necessary, personal data may be accessed by authorised ASTERIA personnel and disclosed to appropriate service providers or recipients, including vehicle delivery partners, insurers, roadside assistance providers, banks and payment processors, accountants, legal advisers, website hosting and IT providers, and authorities legally entitled to receive the information.
We limit such disclosures to their stated purposes and applicable legal requirements. Service providers are expected to protect the confidentiality and security of data entrusted to them.
9. Payments and Security Deposits
Payments and card pre-authorisations may be handled by banks or specialised payment providers. ASTERIA may receive transaction confirmations and information needed to reconcile payments, deposits and refunds.
Please do not send full bank-card numbers or card security codes through general contact forms, email or WhatsApp. The payment provider may process payment information under its own privacy notice.
10. Communications and WhatsApp
If you contact ASTERIA by email, telephone, WhatsApp or website form, we may use and retain relevant correspondence to answer the request, manage the booking, provide service or document a complaint or dispute.
Third-party communication platforms may separately process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Please avoid sending unnecessary personal or financial documents through general messaging channels.
11. Cookies, Analytics and Marketing
Our website may use essential cookies or similar technologies for security, navigation and the operation of certain features. Optional analytics or advertising tools, if used, must be identified and managed according to applicable consent and information requirements.
For more information, please read our Cookie Policy: https://www.asteriacarluxury.com/cookie-policy/. You may also use the cookie preferences control available on the website, where provided.
Where consent is required for promotional messages or optional technologies, it may be withdrawn through the available mechanism or by contacting us, without affecting processing already lawfully carried out.
12. International Transfers
Some service providers may store or access personal data outside Morocco. Before such transfers take place, ASTERIA must verify the destination, the legal conditions and any CNDP transfer formalities required under Moroccan law.
A CNDP authorisation concerning a domestic processing activity does not automatically authorise an international transfer of the same data.
13. How Long We Keep Information
We retain personal data for no longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, subject to any applicable tax, accounting, insurance, contractual or legal retention obligation and legitimate dispute-handling needs.
Retention periods may differ for enquiries, rental agreements, identity documents, invoices and incident records. When retention is no longer necessary, records should be securely deleted, anonymised or archived in accordance with applicable requirements.
14. Security and Confidentiality
ASTERIA aims to implement organisational and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the risks of processing, including measures to restrict access, prevent unauthorised disclosure and maintain system security.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security. If you believe that information provided to ASTERIA has been misused, please contact us promptly.

Under Moroccan Law No. 09-08, and subject to its applicable conditions and exceptions, individuals have rights concerning their personal data, including the rights to information, access, rectification and opposition.
To exercise a right, email contact@asteriacarluxury.com, explain your request and provide sufficient information for appropriate identity verification. We will respond in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
